The noise barrier combats noise pollution

Hammering away the concrete foundation without hindrance thanks to noise barrier

“The Heras noise barriers offer many possibilities. At the municipality of Son en Breugel, we regularly receive complaints about noise pollution. From neighbours that are too loud to the noise of airplanes overhead. Quite often this noise comes from events or from construction work. At the municipality of Son en Breugel, our motto for taking on the challenge of limiting the hindrance is this: The same sound experience at the event and less noise experience for the neighbours. We tested the noise barriers from Heras at an ‘open event’. And it worked! The sound technician was very enthusiastic about the sound attenuation and the terrain still had to be enclosed. We are going to include the results in the evaluation of our event policy to see whether we will make a requirement of measures like these in the future. At this time, in the Son en Breugel municipality, there are a lot of complaints about the demolition of a large concrete factory. The hammering away of the concrete foundations can be heard throughout the entire town. In hindsight, the Heras noise barriers would have been the perfect solution in that case, too. This is certainly something that we will remember for future construction projects. The great advantage of this noise barrier is that it can be installed very quickly and that it delivers immediate results.”
